Terms of use
The operator of this site (unmaskcrypto.io) is Unmask, an independent project ("we"). By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
Information, not advice
The site is information, and the swap panel on the Chart page is a tool you operate yourself (see "The swap panel" below). Nothing on the site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing on it is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or do anything with any asset. The site shows what the chains and the trading venues did; what you do with that is your decision and your responsibility. If you need advice, ask someone qualified to give it.
Figures can be wrong or late
Every figure on the site is read from public blockchain nodes and from our own index of them; a quote in the swap panel comes from the Uniswap Labs API or from the pool itself, and says which. A node can be behind, a read can fail, an index can lag, and our rules for naming who is behind a trade can be mistaken. Every figure says its age, and a figure that could not be read says so instead of showing a number. We give no warranty that anything on the site is accurate, complete or current, and nothing on it should be relied on without checking it against the chain.
On-chain data is public
Addresses, transactions, balances and positions on GenesisL1, Base and Osmosis are public records of those networks. The site reads them and shows them as indexed: as our index last read them, with the age of that reading printed. It does not create them and cannot remove them. Where the site links two addresses it shows the evidence and the grade of that link; a link is a reading of public data, not a statement about any person.
The swap panel
Where it is offered to you, the swap panel on the Chart page lets you swap wL1 and USDC on the Base network through the wL1/USDC pool of the Uniswap protocol. It is a tool, not a service that trades for you:
- You hold your tokens and you sign. We never hold your tokens, your keys or your seed phrase, and we cannot move anything for you. Every approval and every swap is a transaction you confirm in your own wallet. A confirmed transaction is final: neither we nor anyone else can reverse it.
- The Unmask fee. Each swap made through the panel pays an Unmask fee of 0.2% (20 basis points), taken in the token you receive and sent to our wallet (
0x7425Fd650208e3a97F5e457FE3cCFFDCaac46Cc7) inside the swap's own transaction; the exact amount is shown in the panel before you sign. The pool's own fee (0.3%, paid to those who provide its liquidity) and the network's fee for the transaction are separate. The panel shows each of them before you sign. - A quote is an estimate. The price can move between the quote and your transaction. Before you sign, the panel shows the minimum you will receive or, when you type the amount you want to receive, the maximum you will pay; if the price moves past it, the swap reverts and nothing is exchanged; the network fee for a reverted transaction is still paid.
- Check what you sign. Before your wallet is asked, our server reads the transaction and simulates it, and refuses one that is not the swap you asked for. That is a safeguard, not a warranty: what your wallet shows you is what you sign, and checking it is your responsibility.
- Your decision. Every swap is started by you alone. We do not advise it, review whether it suits you, or act as your agent or broker.
- Who may use it. You may use the panel only if you are of legal age where you live, are not the subject of economic or trade sanctions or on any list of prohibited or restricted parties, are not resident in or acting from a country or territory under comprehensive sanctions, and may lawfully make the swap where you are. Any tax on your swaps is yours to report and pay.
- Uniswap Labs. Quotes and transactions in the panel are provided through the Uniswap Labs API. Before you use the panel it asks you to accept, as well as these terms, the Uniswap Labs Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Uniswap Labs does not operate this site, is not a party to these terms and does not endorse the site; the disclaimers and limits of liability in these terms also apply for the benefit of our licensors and providers. Uniswap Labs is a trademark of Uniswap Labs.
- We may withdraw it. We may pause or remove the panel, or refuse an address, at any time and without notice.
The operator of this site holds L1 and runs a validator on GenesisL1.
What you may do with the site
You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial information and, where the swap panel is offered to you, for your own swaps. You may not use the site, its pages, its figures, its charts or its data for any commercial purpose, nor copy, republish, sell, redistribute or build a product or service on them, without our written permission. Automated access must respect /robots.txt and the site's rate limits; do not try to overload the site or the public nodes it reads.
Availability
The site may change, pause or stop at any time without notice. We may limit or refuse access to any visitor.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site or from reliance on anything on it, including trading losses, and including any loss from a swap made through the swap panel: a price that moved, a transaction that failed, a mistake in an amount or an address, or a wallet, a network, a smart contract or another party's service that did not behave as expected. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of the United Kingdom.
Third parties
The site reads public nodes operated by others and is delivered through Cloudflare. The swap panel also relies on the Uniswap Labs API, on the smart contracts of the Uniswap protocol on Base (which nobody, including us and Uniswap Labs, controls), on public Base nodes and on your own wallet software. We are not responsible for those services. Links to other sites are for convenience; we do not endorse them.
Changes and law
We may change these terms; the version in force is the one published here, with its date above. These terms are governed by English law.
